MARY KEANE

ART DIRECTOR

It’s been over fifteen years since I proudly became Mrs. Bill Keane! In that time I have been involved with every aspect of the art and technology of creating beautiful portraits. Making sure that families have truly outstanding portraits that provide heartwarming remembrances through the years is vitally important to me! As I work, I imagine great-great grandchildren viewing the portraits we create today and feeling a sense of wonder at the beauty of the faces from the past and an inner pride to be a member of their family.

“Family faces are magic mirrors. Looking at people who belong to us, we see the past, present and future.”

  • Can’t live without: Wacom tablet, cheeseburgers, paint
  • Movie I’d watch over and over: The Big Lebowski
  • Furthest I’ve traveled: South Africa
  • Where I’d like to travel: France, Luxembourg
  • Quirky trait: Talking to birds
  • Role at studio: Directing all artwork; coordinating workflow; meeting expectations!
  • What I love most about what I do at the studio: Retouching so that each person can see themselves looking naturally at their best.
  • Origin: Raised in San Fernando Valley in LA, graduated from UCSB as an Art History major, then a teaching credential from SDSU
  • Favorite Movie Line: “Uh, Can he leave the room with us?” “No! I want you to stay here and make sure he doesn’t leave!” Monty Python and the Holy Grail
